1/25/2012 - Theft

It was reported to the Shelby County Sheriff`s Office on 01-25-12 unknown persons had removed a large cast brass bell on display at the Mount Pleasant Hill Cemetary.  The date of the theft is unknown.

1/23/2012 - Burglary

On January 23rd Jim Hedderich reported unknown person(s) had broken into his mother and fathers residence located at 254 Benton St. in Tower Hill, as the residenc was unoccupied.

Hedderich said the suspect(s) entered the home by unknown means and took the following items.

An antique  gray in color safe valued valued at $500.00 with no contents.

A 15 inch Television and wooden television stand.

A Remington .22 cal Rifle and a unknown caliber samll handgun.

Also taken was a 4 foot sword wrapped in black tape from the WWII era.

This Burglary is believed to be connected to a Burglary repored by Ray Calantoni on 01-20-12 also in Tower Hill.

1/20/2012 - Burglary

On January 20th 2011 Ray Calatoni reported unknown persons had broke into a residence owned by him located at 102 Freemont street in Tower Hill.  

Entry to the home was made through a sliding glass door on the east side of the home and by cutting two padlocks used to secure the residence.

Once inside the suspect(s) took 10 large plastic totes full of collectable toys still in their original packages.

Many of the collectables are rare and only available on the east coast of the United States.
